Mental fatigue is often misunderstood as lack of effort. People may appear disengaged when they are actually overwhelmed or depleted. How do you explain emotional exhaustion to others? What helps restore your energy without guilt?

Emotional exhaustion often gets misread as laziness because from the outside both can look like inactivity or low effort. The difference is internal capacity. When someone is exhausted, they’re not avoiding effort, they simply don’t have the mental or emotional energy to start or sustain tasks, even ones they care about.

Actually, emotional exhaustion drains your energy and you have no desire to do anything when your are emotionally exhausted. When you do nothing, it appears like you are lazy. This happens all the time, with all the people. You will have to learn to manage your pent up emotions.
