Work output often rises and falls with mental state because focus, energy, and motivation aren’t constant. Stress or low mood can slow thinking and decision-making, while better days improve clarity and speed. This can make performance feel uneven even when skill level hasn’t changed.
 
I think flexibility makes a big difference. When performance dips, being able to adjust workloads, deadlines, or schedules can reduce pressure and help people stay productive.
