After a difficult episode, routines may break down and feel hard to restart. Motivation and energy often take time to return. How do you rebuild structure step by step? What helps you restart routines without feeling overwhelmed?

You lose momentum. When your routine breaks, even for a few days, getting back on track feels impossible. Your brain gets used to the chaos. Plus, you're tired from dealing with whatever went wrong. So suddenly, making your bed or cooking a real meal feels like climbing a mountain. Starting small is the only way.

When there are setbacks, you lose motivation. When you lose motivation, it is difficult to get started. It becomes difficult to start even small things after set back because setbacks bring disappointment and it takes a long time to recover from setbacks
