Actions during mania, psychosis, or emotional dysregulation can affect trust in relationships. Repair often takes patience and consistency. How do you approach rebuilding trust? What has helped restore important relationships?

Rebuilding trust is difficult because it’s not just about one moment, it’s about the uncertainty that comes after it. Even when behavior improves, people often still remember how it felt before, so they stay cautious.

There’s also emotional fatigue. The person who was hurt may struggle to relax again, while the person rebuilding trust may feel judged for longer than expected.

Rebuilding trust usually takes time more than words. Consistent actions, honest communication, and accepting responsibility tend to matter most. People often need to see change repeatedly before trust returns.

In my book, once trust have been broken, it's a complete waste of time trying to rebuild that broken trust. You're going to be the fool who went ahead to trust someone who betrayed you because if they betrayed you once, they are capable of doing it again.
