Who do you prefer to talk to about your mental health?

It's not easy to talk about our struggles with mental health. But there are people out there that can help. Whether it be a therapist, friend or family member, there is support out there. But who do you prefer to talk to about your mental health? Or do you prefer to bottle it up?

Another option afforded to us are support and crisis hotlines you can call when things start to go bad. Sometimes even talking to a stranger can be helpful.

I usually prefer talking to someone who feels safe and non‑judgmental. A close friend who listens without trying to fix everything is often the easiest. Professional support can help too because they understand how to guide the conversation. It depends on the situation and how heavy the topic feels.
