Stress and mental health conditions can show up physically through fatigue, headaches, or tension. The body often reflects emotional strain. What physical signs do you notice during stress? How do you respond when your body signals overload?

One of the common physical symptoms that occurs in me due to stress is inflammation. When my stress level increases, my body begins to experience pain. Stress triggers the release of cortisol and adrenaline, and these hormones promote the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Physical symptoms often appear with mental distress because the mind and body respond as one system.

Stress, anxiety, or emotional strain can activate the nervous system, leading to headaches, muscle tension, fatigue, stomach issues, or rapid heartbeat. Mental distress doesn’t stay “just in the mind” because the body reacts too.
