Not every thought is shared, even with close people. Sometimes it’s about privacy, other times uncertainty. What makes people decide what to say and what to hold back? Do you think keeping things to yourself is usually helpful or limiting?

People keep certain thoughts to themselves because not every idea feels safe or useful to share.

Some thoughts are private, sensitive, or still forming, so speaking them out loud feels risky or exposing. Others are held back to avoid judgment, conflict, or misunderstanding.

Sometimes it’s also about timing, people wait until they fully understand what they think before expressing it.

I will share why I keep things to myself sometimes. I don't want to hurt those around me, and I also might break down more if I'm approached by those who want to help me. This is why I do so, but even then I've been getting better at sharing my feelings even if it's hard sometimes. I don't want to hurt others.

Some thought are meant to be confidential so I think you must maintain privacy and confidentiality in what ever field you are operating.
So I think irrespective of how open minded you are there must be some hidden instinct or feeling that is kept just within you
