Poor sleep can worsen irritability, mood swings, and stress responses. Why are adolescents particularly vulnerable to the emotional effects of sleep disruption? How can families and schools intervene effectively?
 
Since teens are going through puberty, their hormones are all over the place. This causes them to usually stay up late and not get enough sleep the night before school. Lack of sleep also affects your mood so it's not a good mix.
