Deadlines and pressure can either boost performance or cause stress and mistakes. What do you think makes the difference? Is it personality, experience, or mindset? How do you usually respond when you’re under pressure?

I thrive under pressure. I think it is my personality as well as mindset. When I am under pressure, I am more creative, more productive, and more efficient.

I tend to thrive under pressure more because I know I have deadlines to meet and I start getting more creative and focused on the work at hand. If I am not under pressure to get things done, it will take me much longer to do the things I need to get done. For example we've got big bulk trash pickup on Monday, and we've got things we need to clear out and have it set outside so we can get rid of it. So my wife and I have been pushing ourselves more to get the decluttering done so we can get these things brought upstairs.

Personally, pressure is a yardstick to build resilience and competence.
It is about how your mindset is being programmed. Pressure to most people is envisage as stress and they avoid it at all cost.

I have realised that the people that thrive under pressure always see pressure as a challenge and are fired up to face it. They have conditioned their minds to either win or learn from it. The people that crumble under pressure have huge egos that makes them to see pressure as a threat to their personalities.
