Why does perfectionism increase procrastination instead of productivity?

Do you delay tasks because they don’t feel “ready” or perfect enough to start? How do you overcome the pressure of doing things perfectly?

Perfectionism can make every task feel like it has to be flawless, which creates pressure and fear of making mistakes. Instead of getting started, people often delay because the work never feels good enough. Focusing on progress rather than perfection usually makes it easier to take action and stay productive.

I think perfectionism can make it surprisingly hard to begin. Waiting for the "perfect" moment often just delays progress. I've found it's better to start with an imperfect first step. Once I'm moving, it's much easier to improve things than to keep waiting for everything to feel just right.
