Breathing as Therapy

Breathing techniques are gaining attention for stress and anxiety relief. Have you tried methods like box breathing or alternate nostril breathing? Did it noticeably change your focus, calmness, or energy levels?
 
I have tried breathing therapy from yoga tradition. It is called Pranayama and involves 8 different breathing exercises. It is claimed that even physical diseases get cured by these techniques and not just mental health conditions. I have experienced the benefit of breathing therapy.
 
I use breathing techniques to enhance my energy during hiking, cycling, running, and even Yoga.

I think the same techniques can be used on a daily basis to help your mind, as well.

If you can, I think you should stand up, close your eyes, and work on something good breathing techniques.

I'd recommend doing this once every other hour or so for at least 5 minutes, I bet it would completely improve your life and mood.
