Pets offer companionship and reduce anxiety. Do you have a pet? How has it helped your emotional well-being?

Yes, pets can greatly improve mental health. They provide companionship, reduce stress and anxiety, encourage routine, and promote physical activity. Interacting with pets can increase feel-good hormones like oxytocin, offering emotional comfort and reducing feelings of loneliness or depression.

At the end of the day, i believe it depends on the individual. I have seen people with mental issues after owning a pet they begin to get better, so i guess it helps keep their minds busy, relaxed and happy.

I truly believe that having pets greatly improves your mental health and it's also linked to people living longer lives studies have shown. Cat purrs tend to help lower stress levels, and can even help with physical pain at times too. Having a dog allows you to go outside and walk more which can also help with mental health too.
