Some people call it being a cheater that makes someone say they can be in love with two people at the same time but I don't see it that way. I see it as a mental disorder because there's no way someone who's sane would want to be romantically in love with two people at once.

What are your thoughts on this situation?

I do not see this as a normal behavior. I think human beings should strictly be monogamous. They are free to love and be in relationship with who ever they desire but they should be confined to one partner.

It is not possible. Love is a condition that was not meant to be multi-tasked. The emotions of a person was not wired to romantically long for more than one person at a time. Anyone that is romantically involved with more than one person only loves one of those truly.

I suppose it's possible for people who have the culture of being able to be with more than one person at a time.

That's because you'll define love and relationships differently than the norm.

For me, it's not normal or accepted but I am a part of culture where you just love one.

I think it works out for some people but it certainly wouldn't work out for me or my wife. We both like to be in a relationship with each other only, no one else. I have friends who were part of poly relationships and it worked out for them. Some religions believe that men should have multiple wives, which is fine if it works for them of course.

Calling it a mental disorder is a leap that doesn’t hold up.

People can genuinely develop strong romantic feelings for more than one person. Human attachment is complicated, and feeling something for two people isn’t, by itself, evidence of cheating or instability.

The real issue is behavior and honesty. Someone can feel conflicted and still act ethically by being clear, setting boundaries, and not deceiving anyone. On the flip side, someone can claim they “love two people” as a convenient excuse for avoiding responsibility. So no, it’s not accurate to say a sane person couldn’t feel that way.

The important question is how they handle it. Feelings are messy; choices are what reveal character.

I do know that for some people, loving two people is possible, and it is something that they believe, and I wouldn't say that is wrong if that is what you believe and that is what makes you happy, you are not harming me, and you are happy, and that is important.

I was brought up that you should only love one person, and loving more than one can be seen as cheating, so that is how I am.

I know that a person can romantically love two people genuinely at the same time. And it is always because both persons represent an aspect of their lives that they value so much. None of them is the complete package.

I wouldn't consider this a mental disorder, it's simply being unfaithful. I know many people personally who have been cheated on or cheated themselves and they do not have any type of disorder, it's willingness to break trust and hope you don't get caught. I don't believe people can love two people at the same time. Can you love multiple people throughout your life? Yes, definitely. I wholeheartedly think people can find and grow in love, it doesn't come instantly most of the time. But, it's important to be with the person you truly love, when you're with that person, no one else can stand a chance.

In my opinion, anyone who capable of loving two different people romantically is a damaged soul mentally because it's not normal as far as I'm concerned. The person is a wh0re who doesn't have any dignity for their body especially if he/she is already sexually committed to both persons.

I don't believe in this I always believe that focusing on one person as your mentor is really the best even in relationship I don't maintain two people in any relationship I kept thou I know some people practice this and it's works for them but it's depends on individual perception
