Stress can make ordinary things feel much more annoying than they normally would. Noise, questions, delays, or small mistakes may suddenly trigger irritation. Why does stress lower patience, and how can someone tell when their anger is really connected to emotional exhaustion?

Yes, I get irritated much more easily when I’m already stressed. Small things that normally wouldn’t bother me can suddenly feel annoying. It’s usually not really about the person or situation itself. There’s just less patience left when my mind is already overloaded.

When stress keeps piling up, even small annoyances can feel like the final straw. Irritability, fatigue, poor sleep, and feeling overwhelmed can all be signs that anger is being fueled by emotional exhaustion rather than the situation itself. Chronic stress is closely linked with irritability and anger.

When I’m under stress, my patience gets shorter, and even minor inconveniences can irritate me more than they should. A small delay or an unnecessary question can feel like too much when my mind is already overloaded. I take that sudden irritability as a sign of emotional exhaustion, especially after poor sleep or a demanding day. Sometimes I’m not really angry about what just happened; I’m reacting to everything that’s been building up.

When stress has already drained my patience, even a small interruption can feel like too much. I might react sharply to something that normally wouldn't bother me, then regret it once I've calmed down. What bothers me most is how stress can spill over onto people who had nothing to do with the original problem. Being overwhelmed explains the reaction, but it doesn't make taking it out on others fair.

Yes, I do. I started being more aggressive and actually show it in actions. I want to rest when I am already stressed out and once that is not happening, I feel down and angry.
