Work becomes better and more productive when workers are in the right state of mind. I've not seen any workplace where the work flows better if most of the staff are mentally down. On that note, is it wise for firms to grant mental health leave to staff members?

Most companies give you sick leave and it can include for both, physical sickness as well as mental conditions. However, I do not think people are willing to ask for leave because they are suffering from "stress" "anxiety" "depression" "mood swing", etc due to taboo associated with mental health conditions.

Yes, I think companies should offer mental health leave, and there’s growing evidence that it can actually benefit both employees and employers when done properly.
From a worker’s side, mental health leave gives people time to recover from stress, burnout, anxiety, or depression before things get worse. Without that space, problems often build up and lead to longer absences or reduced performance. Studies show poor mental health is strongly linked to lost productivity
