Healing from Trauma: What’s Your Journey?

Trauma, whether from relationships, childhood, or life events, can profoundly affect mental health, shaping how we process emotions or interact with others. How has trauma impacted your mental health or relationships? What steps, therapy, journaling, support groups, have helped you heal?

What’s one tool or practice that’s supported your healing from trauma?

I don’t have any trauma myself, but I’ve seen it in some friends and family. Their healing involved therapy, strong support systems, and time. Watching them grow stronger taught me how vital empathy, patience, and professional help are in recovery.

Trauma has a direct influence on your overall behaviour in life. It can destroy your mental health. I would recommend a strong professional therapy to anyone experiencing trauma. I would advice that you take time to go on a break to get away from the trauma and feed your mind with images that uplifts your spirit

I have a harder time recovering from trauma. Maybe my brain is not designed to handle trauma. I can feel my cranial temperature rise. I am taking medicines for that. However, there comes a time when I am not taking medicines regularly and this has been having a huge impact on my mental health.
