A person may forgive a friend after an argument but still carry frustration from what happened. Small disagreements can then bring the old resentment back. How does unresolved anger affect friendships, and why can old conflicts continue influencing new conversations?

Unresolved anger can make friendships feel tense even when the original issue seems small. I might become more sensitive to comments, keep score of past arguments, or pull away without explaining why. Eventually, a friend may feel the distance without understanding what caused it.

Unresolved anger can quietly change a friendship even when people say everything is fine. Old hurt can make someone more defensive, sensitive to small comments, or less willing to trust fully. I’ve noticed that avoiding the real issue usually doesn’t make it disappear. Honest conversations often matter because resentment tends to build when feelings stay unspoken.

There’s a saying that anger is just one word short of danger. It is okay to be angry, but why is not okay is not easing yourself of it as soon as possible. It can make you so what you will eventually regret and lose good friends.

As long as there's an unresolved issues between us, we are not going to talk ever. Also, if I don't want to resolve the issues, I won't give you a listening ear because I'm done with the so called friendship.
