I lost my dad is August.
He was 65 years old, recently retired, and was getting his home remodeled.
He got sick with a virus that could had been cured by IV antibiotics but because he refused to go to the hospital and had an underlying condition (liver issues), it killed him.
I didn't know he was sick until the day he died. My last text conversation with him was me trying to get him to let me take him to the hospital. He refused and died a few hours later.
It's really hard for me not blame myself. I want to blame myself so bad. Everyone keeps telling me it isn't my fault.
It's left me depressed. I'm hoping I get over it, soon. I definitely miss him. It's hard to lose a parent.
Any of you been through this sort of thing?
