What are some personal strategies or techniques you find effective in managing moments of acute anxiety or panic?

When I feel acute anxiety or panic, I focus on grounding myself: slow, deep breaths, naming objects around me, and noticing sensations to anchor in the present. Gentle movement, positive self-talk, or stepping away from triggers also helps me regain control until the intensity passes.
 
When anxiety hits, I slow my breathing and focus on each inhale and exhale. I notice what I can see, touch, or hear to stay present. Sometimes I tense and relax my muscles or do a small task to distract myself. I remind myself the feeling will pass and that I’m safe.
