After acute symptoms pass, people may feel embarrassed, misunderstood, or disconnected from others. This can make re-engaging socially difficult. What helps rebuild confidence after psychosis? How can communities reduce feelings of isolation and judgment?

Psychosis can remain isolating even after symptoms improve because rebuilding trust and confidence takes time. Someone may feel embarrassed about what happened or worry that others see them differently. Returning to work, friendships, or normal routines can also feel difficult after spending a long period dealing with intense symptoms.
