Why do good days sometimes make bad days feel even harder?

Have you experienced feeling motivated one day and then crashing the next, making the contrast feel worse? How do you avoid judging yourself based on these fluctuations?

I think it's because good days remind us how we can feel at our best. When a bad day follows, the contrast feels much stronger, making the slump seem worse than it really is. That comparison can make difficult days feel more discouraging than they otherwise would.

I think many people experience that. A productive day can make a low-energy day feel like a failure, even when it's completely normal. What helps is remembering that consistency isn't the same as feeling motivated every day. I try to judge progress over weeks, not individual days.
