Therapy does not always produce obvious changes after a few sessions. Someone may begin wondering whether it is worth continuing, especially when talking about difficult experiences feels tiring. Why do people lose motivation when therapy progress feels slow, and how can they judge whether treatment needs more time or adjustment?

I think people may stop therapy when they expect noticeable changes quickly and don’t see them. Talking about difficult things can also feel exhausting, especially when progress isn’t obvious. Sometimes it’s hard to recognize small improvements, so people might assume therapy isn’t working before giving it enough time.
