Someone may need help at school, work, or in a public place but avoid asking because they worry about looking incapable or bothering someone. Why does social anxiety make asking for help difficult, and how can this affect everyday responsibilities?

Social anxiety can make asking for help feel much harder than the actual problem deserves. Worry about being judged, bothering someone, or looking incapable can create a lot of hesitation. Even a simple request may feel embarrassing, leading someone to struggle alone rather than risk an uncomfortable interaction.
