Why Is It So Easy to Ignore Your Own Stress?

Many people notice when friends seem overwhelmed but miss the same signs in themselves. Do you tend to push through until you're completely exhausted? What finally makes you realize you need to slow down?

I do tend to push through longer than I probably should. The biggest sign I need to slow down is when even simple tasks start feeling harder than usual and I find it difficult to focus. That's usually my cue to pause, reset my routine, and give myself time to recover before I burn out further.

I think it's easy to ignore stress because it often builds gradually. We get used to feeling busy or overwhelmed and tell ourselves we'll deal with it later. By the time we finally slow down, we realize we've been carrying more stress than we noticed.
