Therapy exercises, medication routines, appointments, symptom tracking, and lifestyle changes can become another responsibility when someone is already struggling. Why can mental health treatment itself sometimes feel exhausting, and how can people make treatment manageable enough to continue without expecting themselves to improve perfectly?

I think treatment can feel exhausting because you’re already dealing with emotional struggles while also having to talk about difficult things, attend appointments, or keep up with changes. I’ve found it easier when I focus on small steps instead of expecting quick results. Some weeks simply continuing is progress.
