Back when I was working my last job before the one I do now, I was so stressed that I'd give myself bleeding ulcers.

One of the few things that kept me from just losing it was writing.

I actually had around 10 freelancing clients back then so that I always had something to write.

I'd come home and write about 10,000 words a night. It killed a lot of my stress and put me in a better mood.

Of course, you have to enjoy writing.

Do any of your share this love for writing? Does it take your stress away?

I sometimes write, writing can reduce stress. Putting thoughts on paper or typing them out helps organize emotions, clarify problems, and release tension. Reflective or expressive writing allows you to process feelings, gain perspective, and feel more in control of your thoughts.

I started writing as a way to manage my stress, anxiety and depressive mood. I was 14 and I was experiencing a lot of hormonal changes and lifestyle changes. However, when I started sending my written work to publication and when my articles started getting published, I picked writing as a profession and not just a tool to manage my mental health episodes.
