Ever have a mental breakdown?

Have you ever had a mental breakdown in your life? I know someone who had one around 10 years ago or so. He was a drug abuser though and that didn't mix well with his mental health. He ended up having a severe breakdown where he had to go to a hospital and stay there for a week or so. Was hard to see him like that. But, he's doing a lot better these days.

With that being said, have you ever dealt with a mental breakdown? How did you overcome it?
