Have you ever been a victim or war, or know someone who was?

War is a scary thing, most people don't want to take part in it, but some countries force their people to serve in the army. I have family who have been in the military and some who were in a world war. My uncle was in the Vietnam war, but I don't think he saw a ton of time out there. But, what about you? Do you have a family member or friend who is in the military and saw war time? Do they suffer from PTSD or are they living life fine?

I imagine seeing the atrocities of war can be very traumatizing. If you know someone who went through a war, how is their lives now or how were their lives after?

No, I have never been a victim of war or riot. I also have never met someone who has suffered because of war, but I can understand how he/she might have been affected by it. There are lots of Kashmiri whom I know have to leave their homes because they were a minority at their place and had to migrate from there. Many were tortured and killed to leave the place. How tough their life was after leaving their homes.

My country recently fought a war. However, there were very few casualties at civilian side. Our army responded bravely and also destroyed many army camps and check posts of enemies. War can have a serious effect on mental health.
