Hello from me, 47 years old and been through it. I went through a stressful life all because of dad wanting me to be something I was not. Mom did a little bit at first and realized I needed to find it myself. Good thing was we got through that and dad did feel guilty for what he did deciding to change his way letting me figure it out. Therapist we saw said they noticed something was wrong with me, me not wanting to open up too. Knew they were right and finally did I came out having a female persona of me that wanted out finally when I was in the middle of 8th grade. Luckily my parents came to terms with this letting me dress as female. Seen the stress was gone and they still love and accept me for who I am

Hello @LuckyGal welcome to the community, and thanks for sharing.
You are lucky to have supporting parents, for a lot of people that's not the case. They are still rejected for "not being normal"
I hope you are doing well in life.

Both of my parents want to see me happy and do well in life. I live a great life as a full time MTF crossdresser. I am the oldest of 3 having two younger brothers whom see me as a big sister

hello LuckyGal, welcome to the community. Thank you for sharing your story. Having your parents eventually understand and accept you is certainly a great thing, especially after carrying that stress for so long. I am glad that therapy gave you a safe place to open up. Being accepted for who you are can be incredibly freeing.

Hello @LuckyGal
Welcome to the community.
It sounds like you went through a lot of pressure before you felt comfortable being open about yourself. I’m glad your parents eventually listened and gave you the freedom to figure things out for yourself. Having that acceptance, especially after so much stress, must have made a meaningful difference in your life.

Hi, and thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like those early years were pretty difficult, especially with the pressure from your dad. It’s good to hear that things eventually changed and your parents accepted you for who you are.
Nice to meet you here
